We have published an article in EMBO J, describing the fuction of Hmga2 in stem cell in stress conditions. The molecular mechanisms controlling the response of hematopoietic stem cells to insults remain poorly defined. To answer this question, we generated a Hmga2 conditional knock-in mouse and a Hmag2 conditional knock-out mouse, and these genetic models revealed a critical role of chromatin modifier Hmga2 in stress-induced regeneration of the adult hematopoiesis.
