August 27 2020
The 7th IROAST-IRCMS Joint Seminar "Creation of joint researches which develops interdisciplinary research field" (The 75th IROAST Seminar / The 67th IRCMS Seminar) was held on August 25th, 2020. The seminar was organized by Dr. Takashi Hiyama, the director of International Research Organization for Advanced Science and Technology (IROAST) and Dr. Toshio Suda, the director of International Research Center for Medical Sciences (IRCMS). In spite of the fact that the seminar was held online due to the COVID-19 situation, the seminar had been lively with more than 30 participants.
Following Dr. Suda's opening remarks, each speaker from five medical-engineering research collaboration groups gave a presentation on their research. After their talks, two researchers from Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology (FAST) gave short presentations on their research in hope of creating new medical-engineering collaborations. With Dr. Suda as a facilitator, the speakers and participants had discussed actively about their ongoing projects and future interdisciplinary research collaborations. Dr. Hiyama's closing remarks closed the seminar with a good outlook for future collaborations.
