Yumiko Matsubara received her M.D. and Ph.D. from Keio University. Following her graduate studies, she served as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Division of Hematology, Department of Internal Medicine, School of Medicine, Keio University. She is currently Associate Professor, Department of Cell Differentiation, School of Medicine at Keio University. In 2020, she co-founded the university-based venture AdipoSeeds, CO., Ltd where she took on a directorial role. The company focuses on developing a technology to culture platelets, advancing practical research in this field. She has been studying in platelete research for many years, focusing on fundamental research related to platelets derived from adipocytes.
