Summary:
Prof. Guojun Sheng of IRCMS, Kumamoto University was recently appointed as an editor-in-chief of the journal Cells Tissues Organs (CTO). CTO was founded in 1945 as "Acta Anatomica" by Karger Publishers, a Swiss-based biomedical publishing company. In its history of over 70 years, CTO has played important roles in publishing and promoting medically related anatomical research. In this commentary, CTO's new editors outlined how they planned to accomplish its new missions in promoting human health through interdisciplinary research in developmental biology, stem cell biology and tissue engineering.
