Courtesy Visit by National Taiwan University Delegation to Kumamoto University

On July 25th, 2024, a delegation from National Taiwan University (NTU), led by Professor Yen-Hsuan Ni, Dean of the NTU College of Medicine, visited Kumamoto University and held a meeting with President Hisao Ogawa, Executive Vice-President Jun Otani, Executive Vice-President Kazuhito Tomizawa, Vice Director of IRCMS Yuichiro Arima, and Professor Guojun Sheng (IRCMS).The distinguished NTU delegation included Professor Ruby Huang, Associate Professor Su-Yi Tsai, and Assistant Professor Jian-Da Lin.

During this visit, discussions were held on expanding collaboration between Kumamoto University and National Taiwan University in the field of biomedical research, integrating cutting-edge technologies such as AI and semiconductors.

Following the meeting, the delegation toured the Memorial Museum of the Fifth High School, a designated Important Cultural Property located on Kumamoto University's Kurokami Campus. The visit concluded on a positive note, fostering a cordial atmosphere. We look forward to promising future collaborations in research.
