[Report] Ms. Hanami Sakai Visited to China - Beijing and Nanjing from 11/19 to 11/23, 2023

Ms. Hanami Sakai, a core facility staff of IRCMS, participated in the visit to China organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology of People's Republic of China from November 19 to November 23, 2023, as a representative of the representative of the Japanese scientific and technical staff delegation. During the visit, she had the opportunity to observe the on-site advancements in science and technology promotion in China, which has seen remarkable progress in various rankings in recent years. Additionally, Ms. Sakai engaged in discussions with Chinese administrative officials in the field of science and technology policy, university researchers, and staff from research and development special zones. Particularly in Jiangsu Province, she gained insights into the concrete mechanisms for promoting science and technology and internationalization, such as the streamlined procedures in place for various formalities related to the reception of foreign talent. The resumption of research talent exchanges, which had been stalled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, is eagerly anticipated.
