On October 24, 2023, the 26th IRCMS Symposium was held, co-hosted by Dr. Takizawa from IRCMS and Dr. Yamashita from the University of Tokyo's Institute of Medical Science.
The symposium welcomed two guest speakers from Columbia University, USA, one being Dr. Emmanuelle Passegué from Columbia Stem Cell Initiative. Dr. Emmanuelle Passegué is a distinguished stem cell researcher who has received numerous accolades such as the Scholarship Award from the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society, the Outstanding Researcher Award from NHLBI, and the 2019 William Dameshek Award from the American Society of Hematology. The symposium started with an opening address by Professor Hitoshi Takizawa of IRCMS. Each speakers presented cutting-edge research projects. Approximately 50 participants actively discussed their ongoing projects and future research collaborations throughout the symposium. We extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Yamashita for his invaluable contributions in making this symposium a success.
