Awarded: Dr. Laurenti wins the 2021 Janet Rowley Award

IRCMS's Visiting Associate Professor, Dr. Elisa Laurenti will receive the 2021 Janet Rowley Award from the International Society for Experimental Hematology (ISEH).

Dr. Laurenti is a research fellow of Wellcome Trust and Royal Society Sir Henry Dale and a principal investigator at the Cambridge Stem Cell Institute in Cambridge, UK.

One of ISEH Honorific Awards, the Janet Rowley Award, which was newly established for 2020 in honor of Professor Janet Rowley, a human geneticist and the first scientist to identify a chromosomal translocation as the cause of leukemia and other cancers, this award is intended to recognize early career scientists who have made outstanding contributions to the field.

The 2021 ISEH Honorific Awards will be presented at the ISEH 50th Annual Scientific Meeting in August, 2021.
