Career History & Research Interest

Physiologist Keita Tamura (田村 啓太) graduated from Kyoto University in 2006 and obtained his PhD from the University of Tokyo in 2014. Following a postdoctoral fellowship at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL), Keita established his own research group, the Laboratory for Circuit Physiology of Cognition, at the University of Cambridge in 2022. In 2024, he joined the International Research Center for Medical Sciences (IRCMS) at Kumamoto University to collaborate on uncovering cell-class-specific circuit mechanisms of the sensorimotor system through opto-physiological approaches in rodent models.
