The 24th IRCMS Symposium on Hematopoiesis and Leukemia held on Feb. 18-20, 2025

The 22nd IRCMS Symposium on Hematopoietic and Tissue Homeostatic Regulation from the Perspective of Vascular Biology, organized by Dr. Goro Sashida and Dr. Rieko Asai of IRCMS, Kumamoto University, was held on June 5th, 2024. As part of the JSPS Core-to-Core Program "Integrative approach for normal and leukemic stem cells," the symposium featured 36 distinguished speakers, including Dr. Michael Kharas from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Institute and Dr. Kenneth Walsh from the University of Virginia.

This insightful three-day symposium brought together a diverse group of researchers, fostering enriching discussions and meaningful exchanges. It commenced with an opening address by Dr. Goro Sashida, followed by presentations showcasing cutting-edge research projects. Throughout the sessions, approximately 70 participants actively engaged in discussions on their ongoing projects and potential future collaborations.

The symposium concluded with closing remarks by Dr. Hitoshi Takizawa of IRCMS, fostering a positive outlook for future collaborations in the field. With this event, the program is set to conclude in March 2025.
