The 22nd IRCMS Symposium on Hematopoietic and Tissue Homeostatic Regulation from the Perspective of Vascular Biology held on June 5th, 2024

The 22nd IRCMS Symposium on Hematopoietic and Tissue Homeostatic Regulation from the Perspective of Vascular Biology, organized by Dr. Goro Sashida and Dr. Rieko Asai of IRCMS, Kumamoto University, was held on June 5th, 2024. As part of the JSPS Core-to-Core Program "Integrative approach for normal and leukemic stem cells," the symposium featured distinguished speakers, including Dr. Koh Gou Young from IBS/KAIST, Korea, and Dr. Yoshiaki Kubota from Keio University.

The symposium commenced with an opening address by Professor Sashida of IRCMS, followed by presentations from each speaker showcasing cutting-edge research projects. In Session II, researchers from IRCMS, including Mr. Kosasih, a student of the Takizawa Lab, delivered presentations. Mr. Kosasih's lecture sparked a productive discussion on hematopoietic stem cells. Approximately 70 participants actively engaged in discussing their ongoing projects and possibilities of future research collaboration throughout the symposium. The symposium concluded with closing remarks by Dr. Hitoshi Takizawa of IRCMS, fostering a positive outlook for future collaborations in the field.
