Technician

IRCMS was established in April, 2014 as the center of world-class research in Stem Cell, Aging, Cancer and Human Retrovirus.  We are pleased to announce an open search for a few part-time / full time technicians as followings. The successful applicants will work for our leading program, Promotion of Common Use of research equipment, and will manage the equipment and support the advanced research.

Technician (full-time / part-time job)

Job   details

Related to the 'Program for developing the common research equipment platform' which started from AY2017, the successful applicants will work for maintenance and management of the common advanced equipment in Life Science Departments in Kumamoto University and will provide the latest technical support of those equipment (1-4 below).  For one of the main studies of above mentioned program, active involvement in office work (5, 6 below) is expected as a role models of carrier paths of technical staffs.

Knowledge and skills can be obtained with your prior experience in basic experiment. We are looking for applicants with highly motivated and full of curiosity.

 

Research technical support

1. Cell collection assistance using Flow Cytometer

2. Single cell analysis (Digital PCR, RNA/DNA sequence)

3. Protein analysis assistance using Mass Cytometer

4. Sample preparation using electron microscope and maintenance of various imaging

    equipment.

Office work

5. Management of common equipment room and related admin affairs.

6. Organizing technical support (Seminar /Training).

Qualifications

  ・Applicants should have graduated from University majored in Sciences, completed
    a Master's course or equivalent in research with prior experience. 
    Special skills in Research and Education would be preferable.

  ・Applicants should have prior experience of items in job details described above.

  ・Job details 1, 2, 3  Any one of prior research/ job experience in molecular biology,

    cell biology and bioinformatics is essential.  Published high quality papers in English

    would be preferable.

  ・Job details 4  Experience of research using electron microscope.

    Willingness to examine with microscope would be desirable.

Compensation

As Kumamoto University's Regulation

-       Working hours: (Full time) 8:30-17:15 Mon.-Fri.

                                 (Part time) 9:00-17:00 Mon.-Fri.

       (plus overtime hours, if applicable)

-       Salary:   (Full time) 11,120JPY daily

                      (Part time)  1,435JPY hourly

-       Holidays: Saturday, Sundays, National holiday, Year-end through New Year

        holidays, etc.

-       Social insurances: Employment insurance, Workers' Accident Insurance, Health

        insurance, employees' pension insurance

  *Appointment is for 1-year term, renewable upon review and approval.
